HQ Trivia was a 15 minute long daily TV show, broadcast via the HQ Trivia App. Players could answer questions to win money. After giving away 6 million dollars in prizes, HQ ran out of money and closed down. For their final episode, the drunken hosts spent 8 minutes with the audio out of sync, one host put five dollars from his own pocket into the prize fund and this was shared by over 500 players earning less than 1c each. The presenters, apparently very drunk, swore and joked their way through the show that ran for more than twice as long as it should. it’s an amazing bit of telly. Uploaded with permissions (see comments on original video) as I have fixed the audio to re-synch the first 8 minutes.

16.09.2024Just finished watching Glitch: The Rise & Fall of HQ Trivia on CNN. Very informative. Loved playing the game. Love trivia. Got close a couple of times but sadly, never won. But how did I not know about the tragic death of Colin Kroll. That was shocking. And sad. ππ

15.10.2023Adios. They were tough and some winners complained about the payments. People quickly burned out. I was told by a cousin about it in June 2018. It was fun for a while but quit in November 2018. Not shocked it ended.

14.10.2023The fact that this was LITERALLY A FUCKING MONTH before COVID hit, man…. and COVID was already in the news by this point, it just hadn't spread globally yet. God, if they had just started 2-3 years later than they did, I think they would have been way bigger and their prime probably would have went a few years longer with more people being at home and stuff. It's such a shame, dude. Of course it's not entirely fair to say this because literally nobody saw COVID coming, but if we did, and knew when it was gonna hit prior to like, 2017, they would have DEFINITELY waited till 2019/2020 to start. It would have been the perfect time! Everyone at home, no one working, not as many people busy, it would have been absolutely perfect. But they understandably because no one saw it coming, started in August of 2017, 2 and a half years before COVID hit. God damn. So sad.
